Spinn India was started in 1976. It is a partnership concern having Mr. Srichand Bathija and Mrs. Swatee Bathija as partners. Both are Mechanical Engineering graduates from University of Poona (Pune), Maharashtra, India. Prior to starting this company, Mr. Bathija was working with M/S SKF Bearings India Ltd. Pune. Mrs. Bathija has taken training in M/s Kirloskar Cummins Ltd. Pune. Spinn India was a pioneer in developing the Mechanical Comparators for checking various bearings and bearing components in India. There is a range of comparators for checking various parameters like outside -inside diameters, concentricity squareness of face to axis of inner and outer rings (bearing races), radial clearances of assembled ball bearings and also dimensional checking of balls and rollers. Many of these gauges were later modified with suitable accessories to check various automobile and two & three wheeler (scooters, motorcycles and autorickshaws) components. Government of India has honoured Spinn India with prestigious National Award for Import Substitution in 1981. Other prestigious awards bagged are from Mahratta Chamber of Commerce & Industries, and from Institute of Engineers. These awards were given in recognition of the fact that the quality products were developed indigenously saving valuable foreign exchange. M/S Spinn India also manufacture ball cages for steering columns of Two and Three wheelers . |
